My very most favorite Xmas song (ever). I saw the Pogues perform this live at Sloss Furnace in Birmingham in 1988*, right before Shane McGowan left the tour. Best show ever.

*It was, in fact, Saturday June 11, 1988. Luka Bloom opened for them.

May I be both happy and jealous you saw that show? *grins*

Well-wishes to you and Kathryn for Christmas.

My household envies you. Okay, maybe not the cats, but the rest of us. That is derspatchel's eternal Christmas song.

That was a great Christmas song that I've never heard before (I'm a very deprived child), thanks for introducing it to me! Being a Pagan, my two favorite's are Dar Williams' The Christians and the Pagans and Sinead O'Connor's I Believe in You (as well as the Charlie Brown Christmas CD and The Temptation's Silent Night because of some memories it brings back of my Dad). Anyways, I hope that you and Kathryn have a great day!

Reminds me of when I was in my twenties. That was a long time ago.

Best to you and your loved ones.
