Sunny at the moment, though "showers of snow and rain" are promised. It's currently 40˚F. If there is snow later, it will do nothing but make the day messy.

There was this enormous fucking dream this morning, but all I can recall is being in some museum's paleo' collection, excited about looking at the varanid lizards and rhyncosaursNo real ( Read more... )

Just enjoy it. I'd come if it wasn't so far. I live right near the Reader Con that you were featured in. People love to hear you read. It's part of being a writer with the only difference being you get instant gratification instead of waiting for the reviews.

Peace

The first season of the expanse is ten episodes. SyFy has ordered thirteen more episodes for season two. I just watched episode eight. I think that the network is perceiving the show as another Battlestar Galactica. Pretty sure they will give a better chance than Caprica.

I really love the titles you come up with for your short stories (and novels). They are so evocative - they paint a picture all on their own.

I think the Expanse is being overshadowed by The Magicians (also on Syfy). I'm really looking forward to the season finale, which I'm sure will have something big.

The Magicians is worth checking out. It's swell done, well acted, not really original or complex, yet compelling. It is an obvious take on "Harry Potter goes to college" type of thing. I haven't read the books, but it seems as many people hate them as like them for a number of reasons, but the show is enjoyable so far.
