Howard Hughes and the 50% Glass

Sunny at the moment, though "showers of snow and rain" are promised. It's currently 40˚F. If there is snow later, it will do nothing but make the day messy.

There was this enormous fucking dream this morning, but all I can recall is being in some museum's paleo' collection, excited about looking at the varanid lizards and rhyncosaurs.

No real writing yesterday. Just rewriting.

And this evening, there's the reading at the Lovecraft Arts and Sciences Council at the Westminster Arcade. I wish I could say that I'm looking forward to it. I have no idea what I'll be reading from. I suppose I need to figure that out. This will be my first reading since KGB in Manhattan back on March 18th of last year. I used to enjoy this sort of thing, long ago.

Please have a look at the current eBay auctions. Thank you.

I did get some work in on Houses Under the Sea: Mythos Tales yesterday. I've added two stories to the manuscript, "The Peril of Liberated Objects, or the Voyeur's Seduction" and "At the Gate of Deeper Slumber," both written in 2009. I'm hoping to finish the proofreading next week, after I get Sirenia Digest #120 out. I've taken on unconscionably long time with this thing.

We watched more of The Expanse last night. I'm really getting into it, but I fear it's too slow and smart for the large audience it needs to keep going. It reminds me a little of Caprica, another smart SyFy series that wasn't given a chance to realize its potential.

Aunt Beast
