I slept about ten hours, which seems like a miracle. I think its been more than a year since I've done that, and it's been weeks since I slept for than six hours straight. I had a similar drive, from the snow-clogged Boston to my upstate NY hometown. It was such a relief to get out into the country. Snow is easily moved in rural areas but it brings the motorized city to a standstill. Walking is the best way to get around in Boston right now. I'm lucky to live in walking distance of most amenities and be able to work at home.

Have you been to the Little Bear Chinese restaurant? It was a favorite of mine when I was at Bard.

Here the hipster beer of choice is Pabst Blue Ribbon.

We drank PBR because a) it's cheap and b) Blue Velvet. And, I will say, it actually tastes slightly less shitty than Budweiser.

They know it tastes like piss and cornflakes,

most beers seem to be that way these days, the lowest common denominator of beer.. and I find there is a bitter metallic note to most of them too.
