This spate of insomnia appears to have no intention of ever letting go of me. Last night was especially difficult. I lay awake. I lay awake and thought the sorts of thoughts I should not think even when I am awake. I lay awake and worked out, down to lines of dialogue, the first bit of The Dinosaurs of Mars. Then I worked out the opening of the ( Read more... )

I have been given the green light to announce that I've agreed to do a second five-part Dancy mini-series for Dark Horse Comics, which will pick up shortly after the end of Alabaster: Boxcar Tales (which I don't consider a genuine mini-series).

I am deeply behind on Facebook, so I appreciate the repost. I will look forward to that.

Do you know if Boxcar Tales will be collected in the same way as Wolves?

There are photos

The shelf of fungi like shells is incredibly beautiful, and the color of the sky reflecting in the water.

Nobody should ever wear cherry-colored shoes unless they customarily dress in leaves and fruits.

I'm not supposed to say yet. For some reason. So...I'm not.

Well, I assume it would be okay for me to because it was revealed in Dark Horse's Feb '14 Solicitations. It's called Alabaster: Grimmer Tales, it's a hardcover, it compiles all 13 parts and it uses the cover that graced one issue of Dark Horse Presents.

The information is public, and has been for a few days, so I assume I'm doing no wrong by saying this.

No one fucking tells me anything.

But yes, I asked that the title be changed to Grimmer Tales.

I hope working with Dark Horse, ultimately, adds up to being a positive experience for you.

As do I. It was a rocky start, then I ended it, then...surprise.

I need to bathe in coffee.

That sounds wonderful. I picture bathing in coffee with Claudette Colbert like in the Sign of the Cross scene where she's bathing in milk. Why bathe in something that's not caffeinated?

Great photos. I love the details in the macro shots and the stripes of shadows in the third photo. And I always like seeing ducks.

Maybe a tea bath then? Ugh, I hate I can't reference tea without thinking of the tea party. Just don't bathe in an energy drink or Mountain Dew.

Love the photos. The one of the tree branches against the sky looks like the veins of leaves.

I think that's my personal favorite. I'm trying to find new ways to photograph trees. New to me, I mean.

I thought of human arteries and veins.

which is why we still dont have lines of color in the babyshit tones or the babypuke textures.

That shade of cherry reminds me of cherry tobacco...
