Well, like many others, I'm stranded by the volcano. UGH. Am now not getting back to the UK until the Thursday after term starts, which means I have one day to cram in a whole week's worth of teaching. And again I say, UGH. I was in Mudhouse today trying to read Tacitus when I overheard a pretentious flim studies student giving her friend a bizarre but very detailed feminist interpretation of Dr. Strangelove. The first step involved Peter Sellers secretly being a woman, so I stopped listening after that.
