Airlines and social media - ?!

So, apparently instead of being on hold with Virgin for 3+ hours last weekend,* I should have been on Twitter instead: http://mashable.com/2010/04/22/social-media-iceland-volcano/

"Air Baltic even confirmed with some passengers that their hotel expenses would be covered -- all this as a public conversation." Am I the only one who would feel a bit weird about having this kind of thing discussed in a public forum? I'm guessing that would probably involve posting your e-ticket booking number or whatever on Twitter - which strikes me as a really bad idea.

*Thanks to my wonderful mom, who manned the phone for 2 of those hours while I had to go out!
