Lots of French films and good food :) but weather has turned chilly autumnal down south.

Saw the Jean Reno film My Summer in Provence but it was poor. As was Blue Room.

but the gardening is good :)

The other day I ended up seeing 2 films at the cinema in one day.

Another good French Film tonight, Samba; soon to go on general release apparently. A pretty packed and eventful day all told. I drove over the harbour bridge 4 times in all! Brilliant, fun French film tonight - The Bélier Family. Combining things close to my heart, French, sign language and singing! The cinema was packed full and laughing throughout. They even clapped at the end !!!! Highly recommended family fun.

Went to see it, loved it :)

and clearly from the user reviews the US audience really just don't get the subtly of the humour. They seem to be expecting face value comedy like Pirates. But this is a pastiche of old b&w Brit comedies from old, ( Read more... )

Been a busy week since I finished housesit up north. After a major clear out, wash and repack, loaded the camping gear for the folk festival later in Jan... I have...via various sun clubs,
- travelled down to AKL; dropped off camping gear at C's;

Back in NZ and am currently getting over my jetlag this week. I also have to find a new vehicle in which to continue my travels this season. Next on the calendar is a Yes gig on Monday in AKL.

Watched "The boat that Rocked/Pirate Radio" film again with all the extra scenes. Wonderful :)

Also watched some Pirates of the Caribbean films I hadn't seen before the other night.
