Suuuuch a good day today!

I didn't fail my math quiz, even though I was up til 3 AM that morning puzzling over how to do the first problem, which I gave up on, and our GSI spent like 20 min trying to integrate it later.

Today our professor delivered an OK lecture in math!  pretty incredible considering that he's the guy who makes a big booboo ( Read more... )

My dad, an electrical engineer of some 30 years, can't explain inductance to me without seemingly circular logic/definitions >:(

I build this now.

More info on my other LJ, de_engineered.

You can play with my toys when they're built in any event. I'd be curious to see how you'd use them, what with your more formal music background.

An MFOS Soundlab is cheap and quite good. ~$200 after S&H for the board and parts kit. Just add time and solider.

Yay for positive thinking!

And yeahh, one of the things I really liked when I first came to college was all of the nice people. Most of the people I meet here are so nice, and it's quite a refreshing change from high school. :)

By the way, what's wrong with going clubbing? I hear it's fun.

dude, i gots ta study! i have too much fun as it is already, hahaha...

But yeah, I guess I should also be more open to new experiences, hahaha

Yeahhh! Everyone in college is actually considerate. Guys who actually thought about what girls thought about, or people who honestly don't care what you look like...I didn't think those actually existed in the real world.

But you listed it as a goal not to go clubbing. And goals deal with the future. So of course you might be busy now, but that doesn't mean you can't try it at least once some time in the future. And yes, I think new experiences are good. :)

Yeahh, I like the people in college. Although I'm sure it depends on which college you go to (like how the people at UC Merced don't sound so great... at least from what I've heard from Derek). And too bad we'll have to start dealing with jerks again once we leave college and go out into the "real world." :/

I KNOW! That's what I'm afraid of...it's only been 3 or 4 months in college and I find I'm more trusting to strangers...always assuming that they'll do nice things like return your phone if they pick it up. It's like Lee said: while you're in college, you're in a bubble and you don't know anything about real life.

But I guess we just gotta treat these 4 years as one of the best experiences of our lives :)

Really? I feel like I've learned much more about the real world from college, although these are mostly disenchanting things.

But I'm glad you're gaining positive inspiration from college!

Chinese relatives are a pain in the ass. For instance, my uncle, too.
