(no subject)
Suuuuch a good day today!
I didn't fail my math quiz, even though I was up til 3 AM that morning puzzling over how to do the first problem, which I gave up on, and our GSI spent like 20 min trying to integrate it later.
Today our professor delivered an OK lecture in math! pretty incredible considering that he's the guy who makes a big booboo through half his examples before saying "any GSI up there? you should have told me!" He gave us a crash course on resistors, capacitors, and inductance in 10 minutes. I really feel bad for him sometimes...the old man deserves more attendance, but I guess people are finally acctually coming to class nowadays because the final's drawing closer.
34/35 on our Environmental Science presentation. ^___^ only 1 point off on the intro, so whee I got my grade in the bag. Really wish Prof Kondolf would teach a small class, because he's like a mix between Aragorn and Gandalf...feels like he'd stride in class one day and take us all camping in the mountains in search of endangered snakes.
Equally fun is....my lack of a love life? hahaha...not really. :) But I'm getting over the people I need to get over, and I'm really having fun just laughing my heart out every time I walk with friends or eat with them....and I'm meeting all these people who are not only smart and beautiful, but so kind to me too.
Something I'm not used to, hahaha...yeah, too much focus in my life on the superficial, I guess, but the beautiful people at high school have never associated with people like me...here, they're really nice people too. :) Working to decrease the stress on outer appearance when I first look at people, hahah
And I currently have a list of goals to be nicer in general as a person! I'm like doped on upbeat Kpop right now so everything about me is bouncy and happy wheeee~
1. Be sweeter.
2. Consider things from the other point of view.
3. Go shopping without my mom.
4. Do little sweet things for people.
5. Do not swear.
6. Take an active role in self-improvement.
7. Use the library more often.
8. Join a club. Don't go clubbing ^__~!
9. Smile. Be pleasant.
10. Love.
Anyhow, Thanksgiving Break wasn't great because my parents fought over the littlest things. My dad was an asshole to my mother the whole time because he's nervous that my uncle is coming, and he's afraid that we can't live up to my uncle's standards.
:/ Such is life. But I will make sure that I don't become like that...and hopefully I'll marry someone who will bring out the best in me, not the worst.
