Listening to the guy you could think he was talking about showing 11 year-olds pictures of war crimes or something. Coming from someone who works for a President who wanted 5th graders to be the godfather of a jew child killed during the war, it's a bit hypocritical.

Generally speaking, it's just ridiculous how we treat gay content with so much sensitivity when kids are exposed to murder and violence much more easily. Tsk.

I think there is no better way to illustrate my response to this than using my Calamity Jane's head meets wall icon.

In other news, I had no clue Ellen and Portia were back together and MARRIED, dudette. You're supposed to keep me up to date with these things!

That's a head meet wall icon? Looks like a lips meet lips one to me.

Well I actually don't keep up on gossip all that much!! I don't think I really knew they weren't together anymore at some point. And hm, yeah, the marriage didn't seem like that big a deal, I guess. Sorry. ^^

...it is a lips meet cherry meets lips icon, in fact. Damnit. Here!

Well, it mostly is when you (aka I) still think they're broken up! And your colleague tells you they got married and you totally don't believe her. And you're supposed to be my well of Ellen trivia! Wherever will the world go if you keep me in the dark now. :p

In other other news, have you checked out the trailer for Milk?

Yep. I was just talking about it on someone's LJ saying I'm surprised to see it features so many embraces but no kiss, which is a usual trope of trailers (or is that just me? I really feel like a whole lot of trailers feature kisses even if it's just in flashes)... we'll see when the movie comes out but that bothers me a little considering romances/relationships is usually how we humanize hetero characters and considering the way kisses between two men are usually pretty much a no-no. It would be a little sad that it would apply to this movie, too.

That said, I'm very excited. :D

Heh! I was wondering, as I linked it up here, what you would have to say about this one, and you do not disappoint. :p That said, I do think that there will be kisses. Because it's Gus Van Sant. When do boys not kiss in his movies? (Don't start listing them, please.) Seriously though! I wanna have faith.

I'm also excited, still. Because 1) Sean Penn 2) James Franco 3) James Franco managing to still look hot despite the stache 4) Diego Luna (even though he lost the hot) 5) THE SUBJECT MATTER. I saved the best for last. I'm not that much of an actor slut that the plot doesn't come first on this one.

Also Emile Hirsch! And Victor Garber! This movie would not have been right if he hadn't been in it. I'm amused that he once more plays straight. I LOVE HIM. Ahem.
