I made a mail organizer!  Because I absolutely hate sorting through my mail.  I get way too much junk mail (in spite of signing up with services that supposedly make the junk mail become less) and I end up letting it pile up, waiting to be shredded, and then I have a huge pile of junk mail to sort (and shred or recycle or whatever).  And recently ( Read more... )

I just got back from visiting my friend ladybugjo  who has 4-month-old twins, Ian and Elanor.  I bought fabric to make a baby quilt for her a year ago, when they were planning to adopt, but then they got pregnant with their own pair of babies!

My kitty Nemo was very sick last week, so he spent a lot of time sleeping (and staying overnight at the vet).  I had given him a soft piece of fleece to sleep on, but he soiled it.  So I gave him another piece to take to the vet for his overnight stay, and he soiled that too.  Plus they were both really gaudy and bright (because I'd been saving ( Read more... )

I made a Dalek tea cozy.  It's for my good friend and coworker Bryan who loves Doctor Who and tea, and alas, he's leaving us to take a better job in Maryland.  *sniff!*  I borrowed his teapot to tailor-make the tea cozy to fit it just perfectly, since it's an unusual shape (well, as far as teapots go), and I think it turned out rather well.  I made ( Read more... )
