Jaz just ate one of the heads off of Herman, our Venus fly trap. ninvampiress said that she was nibbling at it, and the trap closed on her lip, and flossed her whiskers as she pulled away. Then apparently she ate it while I was being beckoned.

Cairo, an Italian mastiff puppy, was introduced as a playmate to 10-week-old Koza, a lion cub whose twin died, at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. The idea is that lions are social animals, but there are no other lion cubs at the park for Koza to interact with. Cairo is the next best thing.

I made a foibal for Zip and threw it into the kitchen, but she wasn't paying attention and missed it. ninvampiress retrieved it and threw it into the bathroom. Zip ran after it, slid into the tub, and picked it up. ninvampiress tried to get her to bring it, but she darted past her with it in her mouth and vanished into the nether regions of our immense house.

We made it to Firestone. I'm not sure how, but the stuff from a 700 square foot apartment seems to have filled up a 2000 square foot house. The cats love all of the room. They haven't once gotten into a tussle that I know of. Of course they seem to want to stay within five feet of a person, but they don't have to be on top of one another. ( Read more... )
