WOW WE SURE HAVE HAD A LOT OF NOT!MEMES LATELY

and it's my turn! Specifically, what does your character find attractive in others? it could be physical traits, personality traits, hobbies, that Sims-esque heart-shaped hot tub full of somebody else's blood in their back room, anything - what do they look for in a prospective partner? do they admit ( Read more... )

this is not a meme, questions of a deep & meaningful nature, baby don't hurt me, kirsten loves everyone, what is love, welcome to die

lol uh. TERRA DOESN'T... FIND PEOPLE ATTRACTIVE in a way that affects her! Or rather, she finds people attractive/funny/charming/etc, but it doesn't mean anything to her. Physical attraction pretty much does not exist for her on its own level. By nature of what she is, she notices (magical) power in people sooner than pretty much any other trait, so I guess if anything you could say she's attracted to... magic... people who go out of their way to do a bajillion nice things for her get bumped up in favor, I guess. I've said it before, I'm sure, but despite the fact she's ~dating~ someone who's in love with her, she's not actually feeling romantic love for him. Whoops ( ... )

But really, her long-term relationships all tend to bloom from short-term. A physical attraction is almost always the first thing because of that, but there are characters she'll be drawn to after having known them for a while (such as Daniel Cassidy). Usually, anyone that lasts is in someway connected to the occult ( ... )

--and I forgot to address ladyfolk. Honestly, I think she's far more physically attracted to men, but I don't think she would completely ignore the possibility of a woman. I do, however, think it would have to be someone like Wonder Woman or Oracle. Someone strong and amazing and she's known for a long time.

I play the Joker.

That...should be my entire response to this.

...But I think I have a more in depth answer.

The clown is an equal-opportunity flirt and will shmooze all over just about anyone regardless of gender. His sexual orientation is whatever makes you uncomfortable ( ... )

The Joker's sex life is something canon has covered in detail, more than once. THANKS, DC!

I guess I should go into my thoughts on the Batman here, even though I'm not sure it's directly related to the question ( ... )

Sherlock I'm pretty sure is an asexual. At the very least he is not interested in women ("Girlfriend?... Not really my area.") Though there are a couple vague references in the show to people who know him being convinced that he's gay. When he brings watson to a couple places, people who know sherlock assume they're a couple. but sherlock turns watson down pretty nicely when he (mistakingly) takes a few of watson's comments as showing romantic interest in him. "I'm flattered, but I consider myself married to my work..." He is not so kind to women who express interest in him. At all. He does, however, very much enjoy John's company, but not really anyone else's, mostly because people don't know how to deal with him. So I guess you could say he's attracted (in a non-sexual way) to people who think he is awesome and put up with him for more than five minutes...? In my personal head-canon John is Sherlock's non-sexual soul mate, but I doubt he would ever think of it that way ( ... )

I've always read Carol as a semi-in-the-closet bisexual

yeah tbh i'm kinda the same way in that my only character i can think of as straight is alex
though this might be slightly due to my having slash ships for my other two guys (hank/simon and vic/richard are just like really in my face any time i read them interacting and i sort of love them okay) and kanaya's canonly a lesbian (though curiously monosexual compared to what's typical of her species)

whereas alex generally doesn't even get along that well with other dudes in a lot of cases and sometimes i kinda almost think he sees them as a threat or something so it's always a competition with them
what i'm getting at is that most of his friends in canon and in the city somehow end up being girls, idek
