but he's trying to swing the balance soundwave reminded him of (i.e. 'you will always be a soldier but you don't always have to be one') and i'm not sure how willing he is to go back to fighting right now all things considered (as in 'gdit i am finally FINALLY leaving everything connecting me to then behind')

I will... probably find a reason for him to go, then, even if it's just because he's getting reckless and antsy--besides which, he does canonly mention that he absolutely hates to fight, but also that he'll do it if it means protecting someone. Fortunately, the mecha he has here in the City is a replica of the blue-green one, but it's also like Iron Man's suit in that it's been human-sized and folds up into panels/eventually absorbs into him for the purposes of shapeshifting, since it counts as clothing. :3
No shanking, though. He's done shanking. Pretend or previously-agreed-upon-nonlethal shanks, maybe. Not deadly ones.
Unless Karla can count as -Characters being shirtless for no apparent reason -Femme Fatale -Walking away from explosions in slow motion
She could work without her powers though, I suppose, and if you need someone to seduce the enemy or manipulate them into a nervous breakdown/suicide at some point in the explosions and gunfire, she'd totally be on board.
Either way, I will be stalking this so hard!
PS - She doesn't need her powers to manipulate anyone, and she could totally rock a commando with guns blazing look. Or just a punching the enemy's face to the back of their skull look... Whatevs
Awesome! Every action movie needs a hot blond chick (Bond Girl) with an affinity for violence and action!
(Plus, she needs to do something that will make her look good, even though the heroes of these things are more often seen as reckless vigilantes that take the law into their own hands... BUT FOR THE GREATER GOOD)
