Dad's out of the hospital

My father's been finally diagnosed. He had to have a colonoscopy done to reveal that he's got diverticulitis (remarkably, what Fidel Castro had in 2007). So since he's been on antibiotics for about 10 days, he's leaving the hospital today, with some additional medication and a very severe diet at least for 6 months.

He's very fortunate for such a speedy diagnosis. My ex Nuphy had diverticulitis and it was over a year before anyone figured it out. Eventually, it became so serious that he had to have a section of colon removed. Hopefully, since they've caught it so early, your father's won't reach that stage. Estic creuant els dits!

They did the colonoscopy because my dad's wife argued with the doctors to get the test done. So far, the infection is almost gone (no temperature) and he's been on the eat-almost-nothing diet. Then he's got to go very high fiber forever.
Sorry about your ex, though... I thought that they did more tests in private healtchare

They did tests, just not the right ones. For the longest time, his symptoms were so vague. The number of things which can cause some digestive distress are simply legion. It wasn't until the fistula erupted that it became clear what was going on.
