See, generally I'm a pretty general person; I've noticed my hobbies fall into broad categories that often have more than one shelf in normal bookstores: Art, for example, or Literature, or Food, or now, happily, Music. I got up for brunch today, came back, looked at my bed, and went back to sleep feeling like an empty can--rattling and void and cold. Winter quarter went so, so well till this week, which just went straight for the gut, over and over, sprinkling atop nice little things that couldn't make up for it. I can listen to all the intellectuals' explanations and deep sociologicalhistoriographicalontological understandings, but when it comes right down to it, violence just surpasses my ability to understand human beings.
