Yeah, IA that it's not OOC for Elena, it just sucks that Jeremy finally gets interesting only to leave the show. My hope is that he comes back ala Tyler at the end of the season (AND THEN KILLS MORE VAMPIRES WITH MEAT CLEAVERS \o/).

I know some S/E shippers are annoyed that Elena is taking a hard line against Stefan when she's forgiven Damon for all the worst things he did to her, but it sort of makes sense to me? She had higher standards for Stefan
Yeah, and I also feel like that as destructive as Damon's behavior was, it was kind of small potatoes compared to Klaus creating a huge army of hybrids bent on killing everyone. Stefan siding with that is a lot harder to justify.
I was just SO FLOORED when Klaus got Rebekah back and then staked her again!! Their weird incestuous love is undeniable.
While I'm sure you're being sarcastic, I was legit upset that he restaked her, because I love Rebekah like she loves a sequined outfit (which incidentally is my main reason for loving her).

lol I think what's interesting though is that Elena doesn't seem to be mad about the innocent people that Stefan has killed so much as what he's done to her personally? Like she's mad that he betrayed them, that he turned off the switch and doesn't love her anymore, that he was willing to sacrifice Jeremy etc. Which tbh isn't really ALL that different from the way Damon used to (and sometimes still does) personally abuse Elena. That said, Stefan is the person Elena used to trust to protect her family - and now he's betrayed that trust.

Damon and Elena in S3 seemed to be like a huge bit of retcon to me. Whatever the Delena fans screamed, she was never really torn between the two brothers and suddenly she was always attracted to him but Stefan betrayed her and Damon never will.
So there was a time last season when in my mind a "good" episode of TVD qualified as "Did Stefan and Elena makeout, yes or no?" Usually the answer was "yes" and so I spent most of the season going \o/ \o/ \o/. Lol self, I WAS SO YOUNG. Is it wrong of me to miss that? Sometimes I feel like in fandom it's cool to ship the really messed up things (and I have mostly loved S3 Stefan n' Elena) but I don't quite ship S3 S/E the way I shipped their stupidly cute functionality ala S2 and now that is gone forever and right now that is making me sadface.
