I spent most of last week studying pathogenic organisms and muttering about horrible diseases. Malaria, typhoid, typhus, syphilis, Lyme disease, Q fever, tapeworms, hookworms, schistosomiasis... I've long had a personal debate about the ethics of going to work while sick. On the one hand, I seem to always be in fields where one is not supposed to show any form of weakness. Today is the first day of classes, and already we've gotten a good 6 inches of reading material and new lab bench assignments. First up, general pathology and immunology!

Finished Physiology yesterday, so I have to call a premature end to male reproduction month. One more exam tomorrow morning, and I will be done with the first year!
