I was surprised in that article, they didn't mention anything about immune suppression to prevent rejection. I'd think that would be a problem for, y'know, being pregnant. I do eagerly await the news of a biologically male person getting this done and carrying to term. You just know someone will do it.
I'm frankly shocked that the Senate passed that. Pleased, but amazed.

Yeah, anti-rejection treatments would be something to consider. I also wonder what sort of "ethical ramifications" the interviewee at the end of the article is referring to, or if that's just referring to the possibility of people getting pregnant whom other people don't think should be getting pregnant--in which case, boo frickin' hoo. (Or I suppose, more reasonably, the person could be concerned about transplanted wombs being a one-and-done deal, or about infertile women being unduly pressured to get a transplant and other women being pressured to donate.)
It passed the Senate mostly because it was attached as an amendment to a DOD appropriations bill. Protecting people and killing people, both at the same time!
