So Chris' Land of Stories finished fifth in the Goodreads voting for Best Middle Grade novel, not bad considering it's his first book and it's only been out for a few months. He probably didn't really have a chance with big names like Rick Riordan against him but fifth is still good. -

Continuing my old school Kyle Chandler marathon tonight. Sure the show can be cheesy and I'm noticing some mistakes but it's still good. If I finish the show, I might start another old school TV show. Maybe a little 7 days or The Sentinel or Diagnosis Murder. -

Holy crap what did I just watch???
I can't remember the last time I so was affected by an episode of a TV show. The entire freakin' episode. Usually there's one character arc that stands out above the rest, maybe one character identifying with a guest star or having personal problems that are relateable. I'm already 4 books into a 10 book challenge that started the first of Sept and goes until the end of November. Somehow, I think I'll complete this one. -

Beautiful day out, reading on my parents`back deck because I was supposed to help them haul firewood this weekend like we do every year. Go collect it and load it from a place about 20 minutes away, bring load home, unload and stack, repeat. Except while I was reading, they left for the first load without me. -

September 1st. Ready for all the new challenges for the month and quarter in the book clubs. Read 52 books over the summer, less if novellas aren't considered to count. Then my total is more 46 or 47. I think that's beatable for the fall. -
