I'm already 4 books into a 10 book challenge that started the first of Sept and goes until the end of November. Somehow, I think I'll complete this one.

September 1st. Ready for all the new challenges for the month and quarter in the book clubs. Read 52 books over the summer, less if novellas aren't considered to count. Then my total is more 46 or 47. I think that's beatable for the fall.

Remember that bookcase I talked about needing to buy months ago? Still haven't bought it. But I've bought a ton of new books since then and received a few ARCs. My floor is becoming a bookself along the wall ( Read more... )

Reading is so much more enjoyable when the main characters aren't reminiscent of Rachel Berry(aka Miss MEMEMEMEME I only care about ME) and Edward Cullen(aka Mr I'm obsessed with your human ass even though I could kill you with a PhD in I push you away for your own good but you're still mine)

Just finished reading through all 12 of the Morganville Vampires book series in less than two weeks. Next book doesn't come out until November. I got so drawn into the characters and the world that, knowing there's no more right now, I feel a little lost. :( Starting the LUX series tonight, aliens instead of vampires for a change.

My Dad's agreed to build me my bookcase:) It's going to be great and take up an entire wall. If it turns out the way I want, it'll look like book stairs against the wall and then I want to put floating shelves on the wall for some of my more popular series for easy locating.

Man, I've been going through book series like crazy this past month or so. I must have finished at least twenty books. I know I finished 32 since buying a Kobo reader about three months ago. That's a little over 10 books a month. I never read this much when I bought paperback books. The Kobo is just so portable that it's easy to slip into my purse ( Read more... )

I just finished reading Enthralled by Melissa Marr and other authors. I absolutely loved it. It's an anthology of short stories all with the common theme of 'journey'. A lot of the authors set their story in the same 'verse as their book series and that made me a little nervous while starting to read. Would I understand what was going on? Would ( Read more... )
