 Chapter 11

Yoochun grinned as his eyes roamed over his roommate’s sleeping figure. He crossed his legs and rested his elbows over his thighs. He narrowed his eyes and then smirked.

Jaejoong had a hickey on his neck.

Resting his face in his palms, Yoochun started thinking. How did Jaejoong actually feel about Yunho? And how serious was he in this relationship? He had known Jaejoong for almost three years and as far as he remembered, once the man gets in a relationship, he treats it with utmost seriousness. And if he thought he couldn’t commit, then he’d end it as soon as possible. It was mainly caused by what happened with his parents, Yoochun knew this much about his friend. But he too was confused. Yoochun wasn’t sure if Jaejoong knew where he was heading, he just didn’t want him to get hurt or hurt Yunho in the process. Jaejoong confused him, he didn’t know where to place him; was he gay or straight? Or was he just bisexual? Yeah the last was the most possible answer. Somehow, he really wanted to know and to make sure Jaejoong understood it too.

Yoochun’s eyes blinked when he noticed Jaejoong’s sleepy eyes staring at him.

“You’re staring. That’s creepy.” Jaejoong yawned, rolling on his back and stretching his arms.

“Correction, I was staring at your hickey. Nice touch by the way.” He smirked.

His roommate groaned, rolling on his stomach and burying his face in his pillow. “Shut up.”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“My head hurts.” Jaejoong whined, ruffling his hair.

“It’s been a while since you had a hangover.” Nodding, Yoochun replied.

“It’s not a hangover. I didn’t drink much.”

Yoochun raised an eyebrow, “How many?”

Jaejoong turned, cheeks pink. “Three or four shots… I think.”

“Just three? You were humping your boyfriend after only three drinks? Wow!”

“I WAS NOT HUMPING HIM,” Jaejoong yelled, throwing a pillow at Yoochun, who managed to dodge it and laugh at the other’s denial. “We were just dancing.” Jaejoong adjusted his sitting position and cracked his neck.

“Ewwwww,” Yoochun made a face. “I want Yunho to see and hear what you just did with your neck. Doubt he’ll find you as sexy.”

Yoochun couldn’t dodge the next pillow from hitting his face.

Yunho was glad that happiness couldn’t be measured in numbers because he was so bad at math and the kind of happiness he was feeling at that moment definitely couldn’t be measured. He was walking in silence, hand clasping Jaejoong’s, the latter humming a soft melody. The weather was still cold, colder than the day before, but that didn’t stop them from taking a small walk in the. Further, there was an undeniable warmth emitting from their entwined hands. Yunho smiled and squeezed Jaejoong’s hand before pulling him closer to his body, the gesture making the shorter man stop humming.

“Why did you stop?” Yunho asked.

“Stop what?”

“Humming. It was nice.”

Jaejoong chuckled. “Your fault.”

That made the other pout. “I just wanted to be close to you.”

“How close do you want us to be? We’re almost glued.” Jaejoong rolled his eyes in playful annoyance.

Yunho’s hand slipped from Jaejoong’s only to wrap his arm around his shoulder. “I don’t mind.”

“Cheesy.” He snorted, shaking his head in helplessness.

“So, what should we do today?”

“I don’t think we can do anything more.” Jaejoong sighed.

“What? Why not? It’s Sunday.”

“I have to rehearse with the team,” Jaejoong smiled happily. “We’re gonna be on TV.”

“Really?”

His grin widened. “Yeah, Hyuna told me this morning. We’ll perform on SBS’s Christmas special. Awesome right?”

“Wow! That’s great. I’m so happy for you.” Yunho replied, smiling although his head worked in two different directions; the good news and Hyuna.

“You don’t sound so happy though!”

“What? No I am.”

Jaejoong narrowed his eyes. “What’s wrong?” he tugged at Yunho’s hand around his shoulder.

“Mmmmm,” Yunho took a deep breath, biting his lip. “Is Hyuna still?”

“Oh!” Jaejoong cooed. He tried to suppress a laugh by biting his lower lip to no avail. “Jealous?”

“Well…” Yunho tightened his hold over Jaejoong’s shoulder and pulled him closer. “I won’t deny it. But…”

Jaejoong felt his heart leap in his chest over the obvious confession of jealousy. “But?”

“I’m not worried,” Yunho just chuckled, ducking down to steal a quick kiss from Jaejoong’s lips. “You’re already mine.”

After practicing with his crew for more than five hours, Jaejoong finally retreated to his room and forced himself to work on his painting from scratch. He used the sketch he drew during the game as a base for the drawing. The progression of the painting was faster than the previous time. The lines were defined and much more energized. It took him hardly two hours to finish drawing; painting would be next and would take the most time and effort.

Jaejoong stared at his drawing, remembering the previous day when he showed it to Yunho. He hadn’t expected the other’s reaction to be this… passionate. The kiss came as a shock to him. He was more surprised at himself. Running his hand through his hair, he sighed in frustration. He dragged himself to his bed and bit his thumb.

Being with Yunho felt amazing. The man was a big sweet, cute, handsome and sexy cheese ball, who made him a foolish happy man. He never blushed because of someone in so long. Jaejoong couldn’t remember a time he wasn’t in control in a relationship and the amount of control Yunho had over him was ridiculous. The basketball player made him blush and giggle, he pushed him against walls and kissed him and even took control of those kisses. Everything made him feel new wonderful sensations. But all that made him frustrated too because he almost felt like a…

“Why are you frowning?”

Jaejoong jumped in surprise, hand grabbing his chest. “You scared me to death.”

“You’re still alive though,” Yoochun shrugged, taking off his jacket and scarf. “What’s wrong now?”

“I was thinking.”

“That’s a first.”

Jaejoong glared at him.

“Geez, sorry.”

“Bitch,” The short haired man muttered, rolling his eyes in helplessness.

“No really, what’s on your mind?”

“There’s something really bothering me with this thing with Yunho.”

Yoochun scowled, jumping on Jaejoong’s bed and scooping closer to him. “What is it?”

His roommate sighed. “I feel like a girl.”

Yoochun raised a questioning eyebrow.

“I mean…” Jaejoong rubbed his face. “You know when you have a girlfriend and you flirt with her to make her blush and giggle?”

“No, I don’t.” Yoochun replied lightly, chuckling after receiving a scowl from his friend. “I’m gay.”

“Right!” The other shook his head. “Anyways. What I mean is, when I’m with girls it’s like I am the one in control. I am the one making them blush or giggle and go all shy and embarrassed. But with Yunho…” He trailed, twisting his lips. “It’s like, he’s doing all the work. He makes me blush and giggle and feel stupidly happy, and that’s not so manly at all.” He finished with a deep sigh.

“Feeling happy is not manly?” The long haired man questioned, leaning back on his elbows.

“No. Giggling and blushing.”

“And?”

Jaejoong rolled his eyes again. “Fine, take this other example. I’ve never pushed girls against anything just to kiss them. But he’s going around pushing me against walls and lockers and kissing me and I can’t fucking do anything about it.” Jaejoong moved his hands in the air animatedly.

“Aaaah,” Yoochun clapped his hands once. “So that’s what made you two so horny last night.”

“YOOCHUN!” Jaejoong yelled, cheeks heating up.

“What? It was hot.”

“Goddamn it Yoochun!”

“Okay! Okay!” Yoochun laughed the silliness away, adjusting to sit straight. “So Yunho makes you feel like a girl, yes?”

Jaejoong nodded with a pout.

“You do realize you both are men right? If you feel like it, slam him against the nearest surface and kiss the hell out of him. Take control.”

A growl of frustration escaped the black haired man. “I know that I can.”

“Then what’s the problem?”

“The damn problem is that I feel like… like… Ugggghhhh, it’s like…”

“Like what?”

“I don’t know the right term,” Jaejoong jumped on his feet, pacing the room back and forth. He closed his eyes to think.

“And?”

“Wait…” Jaejoong squeezed his eyes shut. “YES! I got it,” He hit his palm with his fist. “He’s like the alpha male.”

Yoochun raised both his eyebrows, eyes staring judgmentally at his friend.

“What?” Jaejoong asked, scared.

“You know,” Yoochun began, hands rubbing together. “In the gay world we have certain terminology. The so called alpha male is usually called ‘the top’,” he made quotation marks with his hands. “The one who feels like a girl in your case is called ‘the bottom’. And you my friend are a bottom, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with taking it up the ass.”

His roommate’s forehead creased, eyes down casting. “So you’re a bottom?”

“Yup”

“And you think I’m like you?”

“Pretty certain.”

“Changmin never became a bottom?”

“You can use it as a verb. And no, Changmin bottomed before.”

“You fucked him?” Jaejoong asked in surprise.

“Why do you sound so surprised?”

“I never heard or saw it.”

Yoochun shrugged. “It was hot. But I prefer to take it rather than give it to him. He thinks the same.”

“I see!”

“So you’re a bottom huh?” Yoochun smirked, wiggling his eyebrows.

“No, I’m not.”

“We’ll see,” Yoochun scoffed. “We’ll see.”

The days passed by, and without them realizing it was already Friday. Yoochun waited for Changmin to finish his last class so they could go on a date.

“Yoochun!” Changmin waved, running to Yoochun’s direction.

“How was class?”

“Boring, I missed you.” Changmin grinned, leaning down to peck Yoochun on the lips.

“Hmm, missed you too.”

“Shall we go?”

“Yeah, I was thinking maybe we can try that new restaurant at…”

“Changmin hyung!”

Yoochun frowned in annoyance that he was cut off. He felt anger rise when he saw that Minho guy approaching them with a huge smile.

“Minho, hi,” Changmin smiled widely, greeting the younger man with a one arm hug that made Yoochun’s eyes widen.

“Hyung, I was looking for you.”

“What’s wrong?”

Yoochun felt ignored. The younger man didn’t even bother to greet him and continued to smile and chat with his boyfriend, who obviously was oblivion to what he was feeling.

“I will help you on Monday after practice. Bring your books, it won’t take more than ten minutes.”

“Thank you hyung.” He smiled brightly, hand squeezing Changmin’s arm.

By the time Minho waved goodbye, Yoochun was boiling. “What the hell is wrong with him?”

“Who? Minho? He’s cute.” Changmin shook his head with a chuckle.

Yoochun gawked at him. “Excuse me? Cute?”

“Yeah!” Changmin shrugged, sitting down to tie his shoelace. “Don’t you think?”

“You’re kidding me right? You’re supposed to be the smart one.” Yoochun argued.

“What is wrong with you?” The basketball player frowned.

“My boyfriend is calling another guy cute in front of me, what do you think is wrong with me?”

“Being jealous of Minho is ridiculous.” The other laughed amusingly.

“You don’t even call me cute.”

“Cause you’re not!” Changmin regretted muttering the words once they left his lips. “I mean…”

“I know what you mean, I’m older, shorter and doesn’t play basketball,” and you’ve never said I love you back to me. Yoochun pressed his lips in a thin line. All insecurities about the other coming back to him.

“What? What are you talking about…”

“I don’t feel like going out today anymore.”

Before Changmin could voice out his protest, Yoochun was already running and going out of his sight. He sighed and rubbed his face with his hands.

What the hell just happened?

Yunho felt like he missed Jaejoong a lot during the week. They met often, but not as often as he wished. The other was busy with dance practice and his painting. The little time they spent together was filled with small talks followed by a little bit of flirting from Yunho’s side and then some kisses.

They kissed every day; sometimes those kisses would grow but never as passionate as those times they made out at the locker room or at the club. Jaejoong was a little reserved, though he tried not to show it. He, however, laughed and talked more and let himself loosen up a little bit more every passing day. Yunho felt closer to him. He now knew that Jaejoong’s favorite color was red, his favorite food was Kimchi Chigae and he could cook it because he was actually a good cook. He also knew that Jaejoong liked to hum, so he mentally took note of it and decided to go karaoke one day so he could listen to the other sing.

It was on Sunday that the two were walking in the mall on yet another date. Despite the cold weather, Jaejoong insisted on eating ice cream.

“We’re gonna get sick.” Yunho commented, taking a spoonful of his ice cream and scowling at the taste.

“It’s awesome. It covers up for the lack of snow.”

“Give me a bite of your ice cream,” Yunho elbowed Jaejoong’s side, glancing at his ice cream.

“Why? You have yours.”

The taller boy pouted. “It’s not tasty.”

“I told you to get strawberry.”

“But I don’t like strawberry. Come on, just one bite.”

“Fine,” Jaejoong agreed, side eyeing his boyfriend.

Yunho’s hand, however, was slapped when he attempted to take a spoonful of Jaejoong’s ice cream. “Why?” He yelled in childish protest.

“Your one bite means the whole ice cream,” Jaejoong glared at Yunho, remembering the other day when Yunho ate half of his sandwich when he wanted to take just ‘a bite’. He was not going to be fooled again. He took a spoonful of his vanilla ice cream and offered it to Yunho, who ate it with a smile and a blush.

“You could’ve just fed me from the start if you wanted to instead of swatting my hand like that.”

It was Jaejoong’s turn to blush. He hit Yunho’s arm. “I just didn’t want you to eat all my ice cream.”

“Oh you’re so violent, baby.” Yunho joked, flashing a silly grin at Jaejoong’s direction while rubbing his arm.

Jaejoong blushed harder upon hearing the pet name. “Shut up.” He muttered, stuffing his mouth with ice cream. “I’m cold, I need coffee. Let’s go to a café.”

“Coffee after ice cream will break your teeth.”

“God, you’re worse than my grandma.”

With a wide grin stretched over his face, Yunho followed the man into the first café they encountered. The moment they stepped in, someone shouted Jaejoong’s name.

“Didn’t expect you to be here” the guy told Jaejoong.

“Why? It’s Sunday.” Jaejoong replied.

“Nicole freaked out earlier. I think your professor pushed the deadline to tomorrow.”

“What professor?”

“Ms. Cha, I think,”

“WHAT? You have got to be fucking kidding me.”

“That’s what I heard man. Nicole said that she sent an email Friday night and everyone in your class went crazy when they knew about it.”

Freaking out as well, Jaejoong thanked his friend and dragged Yunho outside of the café. “Oh God, oh God, oh God.”

“What’s wrong? What’s this about a deadline?”

“It’s the painting. It was not supposed to be due until next week. Oh God I’m gonna fail.”

“Calm down, it’s still early.” Yunho said, still being dragged by the other man.

“Early? It’s eight. I have to pull an all-nighter to finish it.”

“Shhh,” Yunho forced Jaejoong to stop only to hug him. “Calm down. You can do it. You need to calm down first.”

Jaejoong took a deep breath. “Okay!” He then frowned. “Your chest is vibrating.”

Yunho pulled back, fetching his phone from his jacket’s pocket. “It’s a text from Changmin. He says don’t come back tonight. What the fuck? I have a class tomorrow morning.”

“Maybe they made out. Yoochun was angry all weekend. Come on.” Jaejoong pulled him by his hand. “You can sleep over in our room.”

Yunho stared at him suspiciously.

“What?” Jaejoong protested. “I won’t jump you. I have a project to finish.”

Yunho laughed, shaking his head. “Okay, let’s go.” He slung an arm around Jaejoong’s shoulder, the gesture becoming an unshakable habit.

“Just for the record.” He leaned down to whisper in Jaejoong’s ear. “I’d love it if you jumped me.”
