Number 1 became completely invalidated by developments occurring that day that made me absolutely fucking miserable, but developments the next day negated said developments so the "misery" was short-lived and replaced by something better, hence the re-edit.

And how did you realise there was a misunderstanding?

The first day she talked about us like we were together, seriously, which led me to believe so. The following day we acted like we were together, very much so, and the day after she said I still had to drop the question. Later that day, she said she wasn't sure about it anymore and wanted to date first.
