'sup.

Dude I can't believe I missed seeing Eli, but that's what I get for developing mildly paranoid tendencies that my mom was lurking somewhere on the 'work.

I thought you were hiding because you had one too many Oreos and you were scared he'd smell it on your breath.

My Oreo habit is under control, okay?

So explain the empty pack that's still on the counter.

Do you intend to compile a list, then?

In my head, sure.

It would require a fair amount of research. Commenting to every person, building a relationship to the point where you can discern whether or not they are world-alone here.

The network makes it easy. Everyday there's somebody posting about being alone again. Pay attention to somebody else and you'll see it easily.

One year already, huh? I guess "happy anniversary" won't cover it.

Nothing really happy about it, though. Just "anniversary" might work.

Your best friend is with you, right? That must make it slightly happier.

Right back at you. Think we'll be stuck here for another one?

There's no way to tell.

Do you really do that? Talking to people with no one else here?

Reply

girlwithabow November 7 2009, 05:07:01 UTC
I talk to any and everybody. But if they actually admit to being lonely, I don't see a problem reaching out to them. No one should be ignored, unless they're supervillians. They're a whole different story.

Do we celebrate those anniversaries, or mourn them?

girlwithabow November 7 2009, 05:08:45 UTC
Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind ignoring them totally.

Yeah, probably a good thing.
