So, I got to see the Gintama movie today!! I went to Ikebukuro - the train station had tons of advertisements for Gintama manga with manga drawings of the different characters. So this is a weird, twisted convoluted time travel plot that isn't as serious as it seems, but still punches you in the gut with all the feels.

It's just the right combination of serious and lolz, Gintama at its best!

I did forget some important details though, so overwhelmed >_<
the JOY4 joined the last battle (brief as it was, JOY to my eyes! xD)

awesome ^^ i'm so jealous right now~ i want to watch it too :3 since i'm a hijikata fan how was his screen time? satisfying? any fan-gasmic moments?

Probably not satisfying enough for Hijikata fans, as a Shinsengumi fan I felt there was not enough of them. It was yorozuya centric so Shinsengumi were mostly backup for the fights, but we do get a nice glimpse of them being chummy with Zura and Eli. Probably the best part was Hijikta and Eli sharing Hijikta-don (Hijikata special) XD

Also in the final battle, Hiji was fighting/advancing with Gintoki.

You're welcome! The movie is really one of the best arcs Gintama has to offer, so glad Sorachi wrote it, don't think it'd be as great otherwise. It had just the right amount of everything!!

(well except for JOY4, I wanted more lol)
