As you know, I have to treat PLL similarly to TW. There are some things I can't let myself care deeply about b/c they are so messed up that if I got emotionally invested their treatment would ruin the show for me. Both b/c what happens makes no sense, and for the fact that it making no sense would drive me crazy trying to figure out why the writers did what they did.

ETA: Which is to say, I am extremely skeptical that writers write as rationally as they think they do. One does not have to be Moffat to have an inflated sense of one's own writing as clever when the reality is a lot of it is irrational, sometimes downright terrible, and frequently ignorant of disturbing implications.

I totally agree with you. They tend to think they're pulling of this huge gotcha moment of awesome twists when it's something most of the audience is already over or was expecting.

I wish it was the end of Ezra, too. That link you included with the showrunner's quote makes me so angry every time it comes up on my dash. He is not Mona! And he is most definitely not Paige! Ugh. I wish they realized that yeah, a lot of people loved Ezria/Ezra, but that was before this season when it all went to hell.

Ugh I know! It makes them sound so stupid to think that his character is coming across like Mona's. There's a ton of differences and it makes me sad they don't seem to be able to recognize it. Also to include Paige like that is a joke, not even close.

omg im actually mad at this show right now. MAD. because i have forgiven so many dropped story lines, red herrings, completely ridiculous writing and horrific couples. THIS I cannot forgive because it makes no sense. NONE. I mean not even like I can sort of let it go cause it's so awesomely bad or ridiculous. It's just STUPID. Yeah ezra is writing a book that explains everything. Except then with all the stalking shouldn't he know A is tormenting them? Shouldn't he know Allison is alive and where she is? I mean hello. punch u right in the face show. RIGHT IN THE FACE. sorry.

enjoyed ur commentary tho. spot on old sport. im not sure how much more i can keep watching this show for the clothes or the silly thing hannah says.

and ps. they should actually ALL BE IN RADLEY. wait. the ending will be none of this happened and they are all patients at Radley themselves. that would actually make a little sense. unless my other theory, that the whole town is A is correct. stupid show making me mad!

Yeah the logic of it makes no sense. If he is monitoring them to that except (which is fucking creepy tobegin with) he also probably knows a lot more than he's saying. But of course they'll probably try to make him all benign and non predatory soon. Fucking show.
