And when you start to lay out something deep, you're quick to change the subject back to the superficial, I see.

I bet you have friends who aren't invested in seeing you as shallow and would not freak out if you started being deep from time to time. Or you could call or hang out with me -- I'm at about Yale & Colorado, and I have no expectations for your depth. We can giggle about silly things or talk about the beginning of the Universe, or anything in between.

Thankfully, I have a lot of friends who are happy to plumb the depths of me and with me, and as I was at work at the time of the writing, it was hard to actually have the undivided attention to detail that I might usually have given the topic, but it was enough to get the bones of it down. And true enough, I do tend to deflect, it keeps the illusion of safety.

I thank you for your offer and may find time to take you up on it at some distant time.

I have Chocolate. I don't go in the deep end anymore. Sharks and other scary things live there. But I'll hold the life line for you anytime.

Tuesday is/was also the beginning of new shows on the newly reborn "SYFY" channel. Warehouse 13 looks promising in a Eureka sense. And Eureka starts it's new season this Friday.
