A miraculous medal? Why do you wear a miraculous medal?

(Then again, I have a glow-in-the-dark Virgin Mary on my car's dashboard, so I'm really not one to talk... but it goes so well with the bobbing-head great white shark.)

Back when I lived in Laramie I had a friend who planned to run away to a convent. She had carried this miraculous medal (it has the virgin Mary on it, we used to compare Mary's role with that of the Goddess, we had some great conversations) that she had carried since before I was born. She gave it to me when I started doing a lot of driving to Colorado for my job and then when I was coming down to see my fiance. Shortly after I was in the car wreck it disappeared so I replaced it. then I was almost hit again by a dumbass pulling out of a parking lot and the second one disappeared and I replaced it. There is more to the story, but you know, it is kind of long and whatever. Anyway, my friend actually did run away to a convent after she retired from working at the University. We keep in touch with email and I feel quite blessed to have her for a friend.

Do you remember the room we stayed at in Granny's house? The smoke alarm was notorious for going off in the middle of the night just because it could.........I'm done playing in your journal now and going to bed. I still need to find your dental saga. I am in dental hell at the moment too (repercussions of the wreck) and want to see what you are going through. I have new neighbors across the street and I gotta go spy now. XOXO

Granny's fire alarm would go off if she put perfume on, so she would put her perfume on in the kitchen mom says. :)
