I had to get up insanely early on a Saturday and stand in line for a little over an hour, but I've got 4th row seats to Taylor Hicks! Kind of funny that I've got better seats to Taylor than I've ever had for Clay and I'm a much bigger Clay fan than Taylor fan. Taylor is Coming!!
It's probably a good thing I'm here alone because I just spent a couple minutes screaming and jumping around the kitchen. No, Clay Aiken hasn't announced when he's coming to Indiana this summer (yet). But they did announce the entertainment for the county fair last night and we're getting Taylor Hicks!! Working 9 to 5 (or at least 8 to 4:30)
We actually had school today, so I had to sub as scheduled for kindergarten in the afternoon. It was fairly easy with a trip to the library, a Tucker signing lesson with another teacher, and then a Valentine's Day party only a day late. Also got paid today since we have a four day weekend so that was a nice surprise in the mailbox.

Valentine's Day with Clay!
Some quick comments on Clay's apperance on Jimmy Kimmel last night. First of all, I'd been thinking about how great it would be if he finally got his hair cut and surprised everyone on Kimmel. Work is fun?
I'm worn out. I only worked 5.5 hours, but I feel as if I did a million things. I got to the store this morning and it was crazy busy. Rachel was already in juniors and she pretty much had things under control. I started folding the Levi's jeans and I got called up to run register. I am so upset by this...
My step-niece is in the third grade over at F School District. Her teacher is ill or something (I think it's cancer) and she basically has been out the whole school year. I think she's been there for a few days, but not a whole lot. So her class has had substitutes. Notice I used the plural. They haven't had just one sub the whole time, oh no ( Read more... ) -
The weather outside is frightful
I subbed Tueday for a second grade class that I've had before. The day was bad, but I did leave the longest note I've ever written. Yesterday was the 6th grade that I subbed for twice last week. No problems there. That was at E School and I really love it there. It is officially my favorite school to sub at and I'd really like to get hired ( Read more... ) -
Clay Aiken Merrillville Christmas Concert Report
First of all, I have to say that the Clay Aiken Christmas concert was AMAZING! I think Merrillville is my favorite place to see him. The Jukebox show there last year was one of the best shows I’d seen and the Christmas concert was just as good.

Boo Snow
Thanks so much to the weather people for getting everybody all worked up about snow. I was freaking about being able to get to the Clay concert on Saturday. Yesterday they were predicting 3 - 5 inches of snow and now they're saying only 1 inch. So far I've only seen it snow for about an hour and nothing stuck.
