Lucas couldn't believe it. The first day in Genessia was easy enough to write off as a dream. Even the second day, he was able to convince himself that he would wake up back home.

But three days in a row?

It was definitely time for a nice jog in the park to clear his mind.

Six was still doing his practice forms but he saw the blond jogging along. He nodded to the young man, deciding not to interrupt the other's run.

He remembered seeing this kid's post on the network. A newcomer that others had swiftly taken care of, so he'd decided to hold back. He'd felt it best not to overwhelm him.

Lucas slowed his pace, taking note of the man in a suit. Wait, a man in a suit practicing with some crazy swords?

He decided that this guy wasn't one of the background folk, so Lucas came to a stop about twenty feet away. "Hey! Are you in the M.I.B. or something?"

Six paused in his practice, looking at the teen...no, this guy was older than that. Young twenties most likely. "I don't even know what the 'MIB' is."

NOVA CITY sixthdeadliest August 5 2012, 23:57:47 UTC
The city to the north was something straight out of a science fiction novel. Flying cars, teleporter pads, and so on were all over the streets. Houses in the sky, helper robots, and on and on everywhere you looked. In the distance was the announcement that the latest shuttle to the moon was leaving in a few minutes.

Of course, immediately around the gate there wasn't quite the glut of technology that there was in the main part of the city but it was still quite impressive. However, Six largely ignored it. After coming here so many times, he didn't bother to stop and gawk.

The instant Lucas passed through the gate to Nova City, the immediate mission was forgotten. Lucas grabbed at his head, for fear it may explode from all the awesome.

"Woooah! Look at that!" He gaped, pointing at a sleek car flying by. "Look at that! Wow!"

Six stopped, looking back over his shoulder with some amusement at Lucas. "I told you they had flying cars."

The younger man looked like he was having the time of his life.

"Well, yeah but...WOW!"

Lucas took a few bounding steps ahead of Six. "I wonder if they have transporters! Or...like, replicators or something. Check out these robots!"

Good thing he didn't have a camera on him, or this would be a long scouting mission.

We don't have any CR yet, do we? flamescout August 17 2012, 23:31:22 UTC
Six wasn't alone. Sooner or later, he would be bothered, because that was the law of the universe when it came to stoic people.

Fortunately, he wasn't about to encounter someone goofy or over-the-top upbeat. Raye was on her way home when she noticed that there was someone moving around outside who wasn't one of the ordinary automaton-like people she was used to seeing.

For one thing, he was wearing a suit. For another, he was practicing martial arts in said suit. That was enough to snag Raye's interest. Home could wait, it wasn't as if she had a very pressing schedule.

She folded her arms as she watched him, noting his speed and precision. She doubted very much that she would startle him if she spoke; he was probably very much aware of her already. "You've got good form," she remarked.

No, we do not! Though now we do! :D sixthdeadliest August 17 2012, 23:41:21 UTC
"Thank you," Six said, sliding smoothly from one form to the next as he spoke. He'd been aware of her presence since noting that--unlike most of the not-people here--she'd actually taken notice of what he was doing. "I take it you practice yourself."

"Sometimes," Raye shrugged. "A little more often here than I used to, I guess." With no school, no shrine, and no Negaverse, Raye had a lot more free time on her hands than before. She really should look into getting a job, but she couldn't find one here that suited her. Fortune telling was probably her best bet, but she wasn't too thrilled with the last fortune teller she'd met.

Six stopped practicing, straightening up and adjusting his tie so he looked presentable.

"I don't suppose they were skills you really needed where you came from, were they?"

Though it was disconcerting that she used them more often here. Well, considering everything that had happened thus far, that wasn't too much of a surprise, he supposed.
