See, I try not to focus too much on sexual orientation so it would be kinda weird for me to ask people that upfront. I guess on dyke night it's different? :/

And oh yeah, I don't think it's so much your pick up line that does it, but the fact that, you look so far from a guy that perhaps it's a bit of disbelief and amazement. So in a way, maybe it does have something to do with it. LOL.

I'm thinking of doing a similiar experiment and just tell random women I wear panties, etc. Well, I suppose not so random, perhaps in a likeminded environment.

Granted, I don't start the entire conversation with "Are you bi or lesbian?" I work up to it. Everyone I've run into has been more than willing to discuss their sexuality, even after such a short time, but then again, 'Dyke Night' is a place where sexuality is almost assumed to be non-strictly-heterosexual.

It works well for me because I pass so well, exactly! This line wouldn't work for most people as I mentioned, but the mentality of such a statement IS what would work for many other people.

I've said recently that if you're different, you have two choices: wear it with shame, and reap scorn, or wear it with pride, and reap backhanded envy.

I prefer the envy :)
