Nitpick... Inform is a tool created in the 90s to write games that are compatible with the old ones.
Infocom (no relation) was a company that popularized text adventure games in the 80s. To deal with the wide range of home computers that existed at the time, they came up with a scheme where they'd write each game just once for a "virtual machine", which would then be interpreted by a different program written for each system.. so a PC, Mac, C64, Atari ST, etc. would all use the same game file for, say, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but different interpreters. Inform is a third-party effort to make games that run on Infocom's virtual machine.
Yeah, if he beat the game in 2 days, it should be a let-down. I played the demo and while it was visually impressive and had a couple neat things that other games didn't have, it just felt too much like HL2. :-)

If I had waited 10 years for a game, I'd hope it to keep me entertained for at least a month.
