I finished reading "The Man Who Was Thursday" by G. K. Chesterton. I enjoyed it quite a bit although the ending was over my head. It was similar to Kafka's novels or the tv series "The Prisoner". Sort of like Alice in Wonderland meets a old spy mystery. Like "The Prisoner" it got more symbolic and weird toward the end. It uses Christian symbolism ( Read more... )

Finished the rendering chapter of Hi-Fi Color for Comics. I took way to long. It got much faster towards the end.

I think it turned out pretty well but I still need to work a lot on everything. Color, value, anatomy, style.

Also its not my line art. So I still need to learn how to make line art. haha.

I tried the Space Siege demo. Its a diablo style game in space. It has scripted events and cutscenes which are not common in diablo games. Its pretty much just holding down the mouse button and hitting skills keys now and then. In the demo you don't have loot as much as you get machine parts/aka exp to upgrade items. The trailer for Devil May Cry 4 failed to mention that the bad guy is a evil demon worshiping pope. He can shoot fire and fly but I will never be able to take him seriously in that hat.

Depths of Peril's base gameplay is a diablo clone. On top of that is a simulation of a town with competing AI factions that are also adventurers. The town and area around it also experience random events. The events are along the line of some fantasy sim city with plagues, curses, and evil leaders raising armies.
