Yeah, if he beat the game in 2 days, it should be a let-down. I played the demo and while it was visually impressive and had a couple neat things that other games didn't have, it just felt too much like HL2. :-)

It reminded me of Halo 2,.. only the motion was even faster and nearly got me motion sick after just a few minutes.

If I had waited 10 years for a game, I'd hope it to keep me entertained for at least a month.

They're pretty tite games, and the graphics on HL2 are pretty amazing. All in all HL2 is a pretty darn good game. I'd give it a 9 out of 10. And the other games that Valve are putting out are well worth the money, such as Red Orchestra, DOD:S, etc.
