Andy Griffith and timeless performers
Andy Griffith died today at the age of 86.
I find myself mourning greatly for a man a I never actually knew. I grew up watching The Andy Griffith Show. My mom loved that show, along with other classics, such as I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Gilligan's Island and Green Acres, to name a few. Confrontation
I do not handle confrontation well. I never have. I'm a very emotional person. I get caught up in my strong feelings and start to babble irrational statements and the attempted ration conversation gets derailed quickly and I find myself on the losing end of the "battle". I've sat here, in this box for 2.5 years now. I had gotten used to what I do. Complacent with the day-to-day routine. It has slowly become common for my supervisor to say "Don't worry, Erin will take care of it." And it's true. I will. I always meet my deadlines. I also give more than 100%. I am a babbler. I talk about everything. I jump topics quite often. I will forget the point as to why I started telling a story. I am ok with this. I do tend to speak my own language. To hold a conversation.
I find that in my attempt to not bogart a coversation, I have managed to make myself seem as though I have no commom sense. I used to be good at online communication. I think I now over analize things, thus saying something stupid. How on earth do I start a cinversation and then keep it going? -
