Walkin in a Winter Wonderland....

I told Brian I wanted to get a real tree this year. It seems like it will be much harder for the cat that stole Christmas to take this one down. Unlike last yearI looked at the website of a local tree farm and then researched the types of trees they offered. I decided I wanted a Scotch Pine. They are thick/lush trees with sturdy branches. I just got home from work at the bar and everything is fine :)
Before I left, he didn't seem very interested in it, but I was worried he'd wait for us to leave. Well, I was gone about 5 hours at work and everything is totally fine!

He barely seems to care it's there. Here's hoping he's done some growing up this year lol

Oh I'm super jealous. I've never had a real tree, but since I'm spending this Xmas overseas with the boy's family, I've been promised one. I hope it's as pretty as yours!

We used to get them when I was little, but I don't think we ever cut one down ourselves. My dad would always just *show up* with a tree on top of the car and we'd get all excited about it as he drug it in and set it up.

Totally! I don't think I've ever participated in actually picking the tree and cutting it down etc. My dad used to show up at our house with one already strapped on the roof of the station wagon and we'd get all stoked.

I hope this can become a tradition for us!

And thank you, I never get tired of our place.
You can see more of it under my Cannery Loft tag. It's a place I wanted to live since 2002 and with a lot of hard work, we've been living here now for two years. It's a labor of love for sure!
