Wow! I haven't posted in 4 days, so unlike me! haha...

I've just been so ridiculously busy.

Work work work and shopping, baking, shows... it's been a crazy week.

Today I made a cake for my niece's baptism. It was really cute and everyone loved it.

What a cute cake, and a cute baby (says she who is not normally one to get all "Awww" over babies). I love the rice krispie treat tree.

I think making the tree out of rice crispys was a great idea - when I first saw it I wondered however you managed to get it to stand up.

I was going to use one of those styrofoam balls like you make planets out of when you're a kid... but they were like $3.50 at the craft store! What's up with that? So I bought one of the big rice crispy treats at the gas station for $1 and smooshed it into a ball haha.

I use dowels that are like really long, thick lollipop sticks, which is what I put in the tree to stick it into the cake. it was funny when I was just holding the stick it was like a big tree lollipop haha
