Wow! I haven't posted in 4 days, so unlike me! haha...

I've just been so ridiculously busy.

Work work work and shopping, baking, shows... it's been a crazy week.

Today I made a cake for my niece's baptism. It was really cute and everyone loved it.

that cake is really stunning! I can't believe you just started learning how to decorate cakes and they already look like that! and you taught yourself?! total win.

did you come up with the cake concept on your own?

it's funny, I was raised Catholic so baptisms are completely of the norm for me. But reading it how you described it...it is kind of weird. But mainly, it's just symbolism.

What does your tattoo say across your chest? looove the beautiful arm art in the last foto!

I decorated my first cake May 11th. :)
I have taught myself, with the aid of food network shows... and some things from the internet.

The classes I want to take are not given at times that work for me. Which is frustrating, but I think I can just figure it out and when I get stuck on things... I can find someone IRL of online to help me!

I did not come up with the concept on my own. It was a cake I saw online that I wanted to try to copy. I wanted to show diversity in what I do. My husband is a recording engineer and he records everything from metal to country... he knows he needs a diverse portfolio in order to show future clients he's capible of different things. I figured this works the same way.
From a Fight Club cake to a cake with a bible verse. lol. Now that's diversity!

My chest says "Lost Without You"
It's a line from a song my husband wrote and played at our wedding! :D

For mother's day, I was going to make cakes with "mom" tattoo hearts for Brian and my moms! :D
Thanks so much for the compliments. I've always been an artist, I just never know how to project it. I think it's possible I've finally found my medium!
