Yesterday I read an interview in Out Magazine with alex_beecroft and erastes--and a commentary on the interview here.

In a recent post about YA Paranormals, I questioned why a vampire (or anyone, really) would want to pose as an adolescent and attend high school forever. My reaction was that it was highly, highly unlikely that anyone would do this. Why endure high school multiple times if you don't have to?

One of the reviewers over at bookfails is doing something called the Sparkle Project--reviewing a ton of YA books featuring human girl/stalkerish paranormal boy-shaped-being-who's-hundreds-of-years-old. I just finished reading a YA book called Freak by Marcella Pixley. As mentioned yesterday, I am still continuing with Temeraire. It's much better once you get past the dull beginning, which surprises and pleases me. I think that the book may turn out to be good after all.
