I have no idea what you're talking about. You must have me confused with somebody else.
If I'd have had more notice, I'd have put way more fun stuff in the box. Also, the box was smaller than I thought. Believe me, it was almost as much fun sending it as it was getting it. And when you're experimenting, make sure you share!
Have you seen HBO's Rome? While like every other historical production it takes some liberties with history, I thought it did a good job of capturing both how the Romans were a bit like us and also how totally alien and brutal they could be. One of my favorite scenes is where Atia and Octavia are having one of those mother/daughter fights which sounds timeless, except for the part where the horrible thing Octavia is sure Atia would like to do is killing her before the hooligans break down the door. And there was this incident at the end of Season 1 which, while it killed off a female character horribly, I thought was also an excellent demonstration of why patriarchy sucks, in a way that it looks like that's what they intended to get across without having to force the characters to suddenly have that revelation for us. (That is, it wasn't just to give some characters angst for Season 2, although it did that too.) Plus it has the most amazing sets (5 whole acres of them, plus landscape) and costumes.

As for the "fly", it's not just you. I'm having problems with LJ too.
