Festival season is upon us

So, DCist tells me that the HFStival lineup has been announced, and I get an overwhelming sense of "So what?" Counting Crows headlining? Are they still around? (Apparently so if they're appearing, but who knew?) On top of the generally underwhelming lineup, tickets are $45 for the lawn and $100 for the pit -- per day. Sheesh. No thanks. ( Read more... )

Drop me a line if you come to Chicago. I'd be happy to meet up with you. (Is it okay if my wife comes along, too?)

I certainly will. You know what will happen though? You'll be out of town that week, thus continuing a long tradition of not meeting up. ;)

Heh.

Well, I'll make no plans for that weekend.

Given unlimited time and unlimited money, I'd probably hit them all. Sadly, I have neither of those. =) Bonnaroo is looking really appealing though.

I'm thinking about Calgary, which has, among others, Ani Difranco and Dar Williams.

Looks like I'll be hard-pressed to avoid seeing Feist this summer. ;) I have to admit that I've never really cared too much one way or the other about Ani (heresy, I know), but Dar and Son Volt and Dan Bern are appealing. And if they get Hawksley Workman back, it may have to move further up on my list.

Wow... that's a lot of people, places, and interest. No wonder you're "tired".

XOXOXO
