My goal last year was to use all my PTO and not carry any over, but that failed miserably. I have something close to four weeks of vacation and personal time this year that I'd like to use up, even after using the week that I carried over. So, DCist tells me that the HFStival lineup has been announced, and I get an overwhelming sense of "So what?" Counting Crows headlining? Are they still around? (Apparently so if they're appearing, but who knew?) On top of the generally underwhelming lineup, tickets are $45 for the lawn and $100 for the pit -- per day. Sheesh. No thanks. ( Read more... )

Apparently Ocean City is all full up this weekend. The only two hotels I could find any space at were a Comfort Suites a mile or so from the beach at $279 a night (and that's the AAA rate) or the Fenwick Inn.
