I went to the new roof garden at Fenchurch Street today; after being stopped by security because I'd not been through the scanner first, I found that it is quite a nice space. Not many people were around, as I'd chosen a quiet time, but it offers really good views of London's skyline.

It was only opened very recently.

It's not something I do often, but I went to the Twenty20 cricket tonight. A friend had given me four free tickets and then found that he couldn't make it; I ended up only being able to shift one of them ( Read more... )

I did a 5k run this morning; it wasn't the best organised of runs, and I think I could have done a better time than what I managed (just under half an hour) if I'd started nearer the front. I had to navigate past a lot of slower runners/walkers, and when it got to having to keep to narrow tracks on farmland, this was not particularly easy ( Read more... )
