All right, GDF! We've done pretty awesomely lately, mental train wrecks aside.  Lots of high powered baddies taken down, majority of threats to the earth are dealt with.  I can't help but feel that we're moving towards an endgame of sorts, dood.

I know no one else is going to ask it, so I'll just say it. The GDF is clearly the most dominant force ( Read more... )

He's crazy, dood! No need to listen to him!

I'm serious, dood. Someone give me a straight answer on this. A single reason why we shouldn't just force a world truce...with force, dood.

I agree, you're totally out of character for a prinny, dood. World Domination's a thought best left to Overlords, not grunts like us, dood!

...I have to say, I do support the notion, though I doubt the humans here will. It's what they're fighting to prevent. <3

...think before you speak, for once, dood. If we have to fight to create peace, why not fight a bit more, and destroy the sources? Otherwise, the fighting will continue endlessly! It's not enough to simply bury or contain insurgence, dood. Humanity's proved that time and again!

The only way to put an end to fighting is to have a single point of power that everyone else respects or fears too much to oppose. It's a bit barbaric, but tell me it doesn't work, dood.

How can you say that?!? The GDF can't be some conquering army and make enemies of the whole world!

Why not, dood? As far as I can tell, we'd be helping the world. All the GDF does is fight against Earth's enemies, right? So why would we make enemies of the planet for annhilating those who'd oppose the peace of the Earth?

We fight for everyone, which means we respect people's rights to autonomy! All these Earthnoid/Spacenoid conflicts started because the Spacenoids wanted to govern themselves!

And if we leave them alone, they'll leave us alone, dood? If we told them, "We're done fighting you, go drink space tea and leave us alone," they'd stop attacking, causing us to retaliate, killing countless innocents, dood?

Rrule the world? Talk about a thankless job. You couldn't pay me enough.

Unite the world, dood. It's not really that much different...

But dood, why do you fight with the GDF, then?

i_choose_me September 24 2010, 02:16:32 UTC
Complicated. They don't pay me to rule the world. They deal with people who shouldn't be allowed to rule the world. They have the lowest casualty rate of any military unit I have ever known.

The means is most definately important, don't get me wrong, dood. But ultimately, the GDF is the best at what they do.

So why are there still those that oppose them, do you think, dood?

Aren't you supposed to be the smart one? I guess you're just all morons.

How would you stop the people of this planet from fighting each other then, hammer girl?

Reply

lil_iron_knight September 24 2010, 04:32:24 UTC
You can't. There's always gonna be some idiot who thinks he should be in charge and wants to prove it with a weapon. Fighting happens. That's why the GDF is for keeping the peace on an individual basis and not for setting up some kind of dumb new world order, idiot!

Seems kind of pointless, dood...no end to the fighting, constant civilian and pilot losses. Would you really rather accept a world like that, then a decisive victory, dood?

You realize 'uniting the world by force' is exactly what we just now stopped A-LAWS from doing.

gattai_dood September 24 2010, 04:16:00 UTC
They had the misfortune of not being the most dominant force in the Earth Sphere, dood.

So the only difference between the GDF and A-LAWS, in your opinion, is our comparative levels of firepower?

gattai_dood September 24 2010, 23:24:57 UTC
An autonomous military group that answers only to those governing it, equipped with unique and advanced mobile suits, elite pilots, and special permissions from the world's governments.

The biggest difference is that there's no shady deals or zealous devotion...that we're aware of, dood. But here's the real question, dood...who does the GDF work for? Who funds all this? Where do our orders come from, dood?

You're a high rank, so I'd assume you, at least, could tell me that, dood.
