Miracles can happen.  I've managed to survive the holiday weekend detoxing without an urge to drink or hit the clubs.  I wonder if that'll be possible while i'm up in Grapevine, TX for the World Series of Video Games 2006?  I'm sure the eye candy around will be enough to keep me at the hotel. :)

Ugh, I think I need a weekend of detoxing.  Too much alcohol and clubs lately. 
That thought should last a few hours until I get bored.

Kudos to the gate agent at American Airlines who pulled this off without a hitch:  Entry from Wil Wheaton's blog. I've frequently run across these kind of folks each time I fly, so it was rather humorous to see someone step up and bite back :)

Wow, has the evil Microsoft done something right for a second time? First, its the xbox360 UI, and now IE7 Beta 2. It took about an hour to get used to the new version of the browser, but its quite stable and looks rather good - of course until the next version of Firefox trumps it, I'm sure...

Hrmm, is it a bad sign when the average appraisal value of Austin based, Travis county homes "supposedly" went up 16% y/y, but mine went down 6% y/y?  I wonder if I should protest, because I was really looking at selling this year or next year.  Hrmmm....
