Hrmm, is it a bad sign when the average appraisal value of Austin based, Travis county homes "supposedly" went up 16% y/y, but mine went down 6% y/y?  I wonder if I should protest, because I was really looking at selling this year or next year.  Hrmmm....

I say you can use that to your advantage. The house may still have improved in value, but your *buyer* gets a break in taxes.
