I believe it's more common to arrive separately, but within a relatively bearable span of time, although that said, I don't think I've seen anyone who has been here for their whole lives.

There were billions of individuals on the worlds I was on, so I haven't failed to notice that it doesn't seem exactly coincidental for some of the people I know to have arrived here.

That's an interesting point. The timing may be random, but the selection could be more deliberate.

So you think it's more likely that people who are connected in some way will show up here?

It would make sense, but considering how well I understand the laws of this ship, it isn't my place to give a concrete answer.

I understand. I don't think there are any "laws" when it comes to how people arrive. No two stories seem to be alike.
