[The intercom clicks on, and the sound of a throat being politely cleared can be heard, before a squeaky voice begins speaking:]
We have achieved normality! I repeat, we have achieved normality!
[The sound of a cheering audience can be heard in the background]
A-ah...what? Oh! Thank you, Fluffums! That was pretty clever.
[A pleased-sounding "You're welcome!" can just be made out]
Anyway, like I just said, we have achieved normality! I hope no one was too disturbed by the Drive's side-effects. We've arrived at Noirtica, and shuttles to the planet will begin running tomorrow! We hope you enjoy your stay here, everyone! Thank you for your time, and have a nice day!
[And the feed clicks off]
OOC Info:
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has this to say about Noirtica:
Found in the darkest corners of the Angenreca Galaxy, Noirtica is considered by most civilized and sentient races as the universe's seedy underbelly. Think you know a guy? Then odds are, that guy's from Noirtica, a world where the bigwigs are as classy as they are corrupt. Its dense atmosphere, though suitable for breathing, casts everything in greys and shadows, and if you look just right, you can almost spot the film grain. But rest assured, it's just your eyes slowly decaying from the lack of light!
Like smooth jazz? How about bootleg alcohol? Then stop on down at the local speakeasy, just remember to knock three times and tell them Jarlaxle sent ya! Or, if you're feeling industrious, feel free to take someone up on an offer (that you probably won't be able to refuse.) So hit the town, have some fun, and make sure to say hello to any little friends you might stumble across! But don't go squealin', see?
×) Since the Missions list has grown so long, we're going to try doing two separate posts in that direction to see how that works. So the Lightning Post articles will be up shortly, and the Help Wanted section will follow a little while after that.
×) It's already October, guys! MAKE SURE TO POST TO
THE ACTIVITY CHECK, as we will begin going over that on the 7th.
Cheers, everyone!
