Er.... wow...

Donna Noble is going to be a hard companion to give up. Catherine Tate took a marvlous turn as Donna in this episode that almost moved me to tears when she begged the Doctor to go back for someone, and also, finally someone to rival his gob. hmm...going back to Gallifrey, that would be awesome! And it would make a lot of sense with this theme we keep seeing.

I agree - Donna is an amazing companion. I wasn't sure after Runaway Bride, but Catherine Tate is awesome. She is very believable and balancing to the Doctor.

I thought she was hard enough to give up after Runaway Bride, I've always loved her, but this episode just cemented it. When she said, "I bloody love you!" I was thinking the same thing about her at that moment! She's brilliant.

As for why he can't see Rose, he's said before he doesn't look directly into his own time line because the temptation to change things would be too great. So, that's most likely why he isn't seeing her in his future.
